Jayne Cortez (1936–2012) was a poet from Fort Huachuca, Arizona who lived between New York City and Dakar, Senegal. She recorded nine records and published many volumes of poetry, most released by the publishing imprint she founded, Bola Press. Cortez was the founder of the Watts Repertory Company.
